Referring someone

Who can be referred

  We support adults who:

  • Are seeking asylum in the UK

  • Have no recourse to public funds (NRPF)

  • Are destitute or at risk of becoming destitute

  • Are living in Cardiff or nearby

  • Can live safely in shared accommodation

  • Are willing to work on their legal status or next steps

  • Are willing to engage with support during working hours

Who we cannot support

  We cannot support people who

  • Are under 18 years old

  • Have access to public funds

  • Need 24-hour staffed or specialist accommodation

  • Have needs that cannot be safely met in shared housing

  • Need an emergency placement on the same day

Information we need

  • The person’s name and date of birth

  • Telephone number

  • Email address

  • Current immigration status

  • Current accommodation or housing situation

  • Any health, wellbeing, or support needs we should know about

What happens next

  • We review referrals as soon as possible

  • We may contact you for more information

  • We cannot guarantee a placement

  • If accepted, support will be time-limited and reviewed regularly

  • We will let you know the outcome once a space is available
