Job Vacancies

We currently have 2 job vacancies available:-

 

 

Operations Manager: 30 hours per week, salary £36,750 pa (pro rata)

 

Residents and Volunteers Co-ordinator:          30 hours per week, £27,500 pa (pro rata)

 

Location:             Hybrid/office/negotiable.  Due to the nature of both posts, staff will be required

 to live within a short travel distance of Cardiff.  

 

Both posts are fixed term one year contracts, potentially renewable subject to funding.  

 

Home4U Cardiff is a small Cardiff-based charity that provides short-term accommodation, and limited financial and peer support for people who are asylum seekers and who face destitution in Cardiff and its surrounding areas. As well as practical housing help, we aim to  promote justice and fair, compassionate treatment for asylum seekers and refugees in the UK.  

 

The charity is regrouping following a challenging period in its operation and we are looking for new staff with the energy, talent and commitment to consolidate our position in the sector.  

 

Operations Manager (fixed term, 12 month contract)

We are looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to provide operational leadership and management to the charity.  Working closely with our Board of Trustees and a small staff and volunteer team, the  Director will consolidate the charity’s position in the migrant housing sector in Cardiff.  The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference to the lives of vulnerable people, be a great communicator, with excellent judgment, and the vision to galvanise the services we provide to asylum seekers.  You will have an excellent understanding of the UK asylum system, and practical experience of housing management. You will have a record of organisational leadership, including of financial management, fundraising and governance.

Residents and Volunteers Co-ordinator (fixed term, 12 month contract)

We are looking for an exceptional individual to be responsible for ensuring our residents receive regular and targeted support to help address their needs.  You will have a collaborative and resourceful approach and be a great communicator.  You will have an understanding of the UK asylum system and the challenges faced by asylum seekers.  As a small charity, staff will need to have a hands-on and flexible approach, and sound administrative experience to assist in the smooth running of the charity.
